unfolding

I enjoy watching the gradual opening of new fronds on my small Parlor Palms. They do grow very slowly, a new frond appears only once or twice a year for me, and it takes about a week or two to fully open. Starts out as a straight spear which after a while shows a little fray on the top, then gradual opening of the leaf. Very intersting how it opens from the inside out. I photographed part of the process this past week.
