More plants are flowering! The Zucchini (sadly, the plant that looks worst is the only one with flowers so far. I keep pinching off wilted leaves and fear must uproot and toss the entire plant soon)
and the Pumpkin, which looks the same (but leaf shapes are different)
and Basil (even though I keep pinching off the tops to keep them in leaf longer, they're determined to flower!)
I've split open the Tulip pods and separated the small, flat seeds from their papery pockets that look like gills. The next step is to simulate winter by chilling them for at least ninety days, so they've gone into the crisper in a ziplock baggie. After that, planting time and see if I get any bulbs!

The flowers are so pretty :D Especially the little flowers on the basil! I can't wait to see if you get bulbs from the tulips!! Too cool!
I love the Basil flowers. I just don't need that much basil seed! Silly about the tulips, kind of- it takes five years before the plant will flower, if I can even get it to grow! but a fun experiment.
