eatings

I'm always so pleased when I can make a meal with several ingredients out of the garden! Eggs this morning included fresh green onion, Garlic, Basil and Cilantro.
cooked up with some shredded cheese
and served piping hot! Yum.
Pulling more Beets out of the garden, too. The last bunch I pulled gave to my neighbor (who so kindly cleared my driveway of three feet of snow with her snowblower this winter!) She said they were the most delicious beets she ever ate! Isa selected and pulled this bunch herself today, we'll eat them tonight.

Mmmmm...I love cooking from the garden too! It's so very rewarding! Though I think that even if I never ate anything from my garden, I'd still love gardening just as much :p I'm so excited about the turnips I just planted! It's my first root veggie ever!

I know! I'm not too keen on cooking, except when it's from the garden I get all excited and more creative. Everyone likes how fresh it tastes, too.

How do you eat turnips? That's one veggie I've never liked at all, but maybe I never had it prepared right.

The only way I've ever had turnips actually is in a vegetable stew and it's perfect in there :p We put lots of them in a vegetable stew!

Ah! That's why I don't know of turnips! My husband loathes soups of any kind, so I don't make many.
