Jeane - this moss reminded me so much of the moss I found in the woods at this time of the year when we lived in the hills. I used some of it for Christmas decorations.
There's lots of very thick moss clumps in my yard. The grass doesn't do too well in the back where there's tree cover, but I happen to really like moss so I don't mind very much!
