planting out

I planted part of my garden. Most of the lettuces went out- they've grown amazingly well in the coldframe house.
Swiss chard
and peas have been sitting outside of it for a few weeks now,

so I knew they were ready to go into the ground.
I also set out cilantro
and parsley (they look so similar at this stage)
two broccoli plants
and one lone marigold (there's more newer ones still in seeding tray).
I'm done with using toilet paper tubes as pots. Folded paper is much easier to handle, and tidier (soil doesn't fall out the bottom).

I also planted straight into the ground two kinds of carrots and some beets. The kids all voted for carrots! this year. I hope I don't disappoint them.
