I'm starting to do yardwork and gardening at my boyfriend's house. Last weekend spent half a day cutting back shrubs. Turned my compost bin stationed over there, pleased there was a good amount of nice-looking stuff- spread it around all the shrubs and one small rosebush. I am thinking of growing vegetables again, but there is too much tree shade and I haven't prepared any ground. My greenhouse jugs are on that balcony, and a few days ago I thinned some lettuce seedlings- my younger daughter and I ate them! faint, sweet green taste. I weeded a small patio set with concrete stones- leaving moss in the gaps. Then noticed a bunch of moss torn out of the lawn when I raked some leaves up, and I tucked that into the gaps, too. I keep forgetting to take my camera over there for pics, but brought a sprig of moss home, just because it was so nice-looking in its own minute way.
I tucked it into my boston fern pot, just for fun:
