First chrysanthemum blooming!

and one of the last zinnias.
I keep wondering when the cooler nights will hit them. You can see how they've been leaning across the lawn to get more sun:

Tithonia. There's a bee sleeping under it- do you see its feet?

I was out in the garden early that morning, it was still cool, and I found several bees clinging to tithonia petals, not moving (they flew off as soon as it warmed up). So I was able to get this closeup.
Those photos are actually from sunday. Monday it rained (!! yay !!) and outside I saw quite a few tithonia petals holes eaten in them. Looking underneath I found the culprits- cucumber beetles. Squished them. Also found bees sheltering under the petals from the rain:
