garden salad!

I hurried to pluck enough lettuce for a small salad yesterday. My lettuces are not very big yet, but already it is getting fairly hot in the middle of the day, and white sap appeared against the knife when I cut some leaves. Soon they will be bitter... I cut mostly romaine and ceasar lettuce, with just a few leaves of simpson (my favorite, but those plants aren't nearly big enough to eat yet). Tossed in a bit of cilantro for kick.

Added carrot and raisin. Lovely bit of spring flavor.
