red!

I made no attempt to give my Poinsettia a scheduled photoperiod this year, but it has started to show some nice red bracts all on its own.
I'd be more excited about this, but the lower leaves are starting to yellow and fall off as well, so its headed for its dormant stage already and might not finish the red flowering.
It's nice to see nature doing its own thing, though.

Poinsettia bonsai ?

Not intentionally. But I do like to carry the plant over year to year, and the easiest way to do that is to cut it down some, let it regrow. You can also take cuttings from the new growth after dormant period, and start new plants. I guess eventually it will look like a bonsai, as the stems get thicker!
