sage cuttings

I took a couple cuttings off my Sage plant, wanted to adjust its profile a bit and why not grow a new plant at the same time? Out of small pots, so these both went into recycled containers. The taller one a coffee tin, smaller the bottom half of a juice container. Used to hold juice, so why can't it hold soil? The coffee tin I think its sides are just cardboard, but sage likes it dry so won't get watered too often, thus I hope it holds together long enough for the plant to get established until it needs a bigger pot.

Ah, well, not so good as you think. I do believe all the curry plant cuttings are going to die.
