I thought my Peas were done. They're looking kind of messy, and the stakes I made for them weren't nearly tall enough, so they tops are falling over.
But inspecting them closer, I find more new flowers coming on, and a few young pea pods.
I waited too late to pick this Broccoli head, it's gotten tall and scraggly, readying itself to open blooms (I've never seen broccoli flowers, as the part we eat is the bud)
but this head on another plant nearby looks about ready to pick.
I've been taking out the Cauliflower plants that already got cut. I don't think they usually grow more heads like broccoli will, and I'm planting more green beans in their places.
In another part of the garden, where I cut off an entire Swiss Chard plant, new tiny leaves are springing up from the stump. So I won't have to wait until fall for more Chard! (not that we're running short yet).

Your peas are cute! I'm wishing my beans would start making pods!! I can't wait...they have flowers all over the plants but now pods yet..hopefully soon!
Don't worry, they'll grow beans soon I'm sure! Keep looking, when the flowers start to fall off.
