cauliflower

Cauliflower plants have gotten quite large, but it's too wet outside to dig in the soil and plant them. So I'm trying to keep them going just a bit longer- hopefully only a week- before I can set them out.

Took the eight largest ones and potted them up; their roots were growing out of the bottom of the cardpots.

They're now in that first makeshift plastic greenhouse- turned on its end this time to be tall enough,

and set against the house near the coldframe. Already some of them are standing up straighter.

The three smallest ones are remain in the cold frame as they were.
