accident

Just a week or so ago I took this picture, pleased that my Cyclamen was finally improving a bit in appearance. I'd been dismayed that the ones I've started to see on display in stores are so nicely compact with straight stems and pretty flowers. Mine is scraggly, leggy, wandering stems, curling leaf edges and not a sign of a flower. But just recently the stems began to straighten, more of the leaves grow nice and smooth. So I had hopes for it- the cooler weather? more frequent watering? not sure what made the turnaround.

Then it accidentally got knocked off the windowsill.

One side all broken and flattened.

I guess the good thing is now it fits on the ledge better, being a semicircle of foliage.
