The other day, the garden saved my dinner plans. I wanted to make a chicken pie with some organic chicken spinach sausage. There weren't any carrots or celery in the fridge, but then I remember my lovage plant and went out to the garden. Like the other plants, it has recovered since I fed compost and started thwarting the bug population with dishwater again. Cut a few stems and it was plenty for the celery flavor:
Pulled the remainder of my carrots. Not many, but there were good!
And we had chicken pie. No pictures of the end product, it was eaten up!
