I don't keep these for the flowers, but they do look attractive this fall

Even the ones I transplanted just this year are blooming

and I'm very happy with the performance of 'black-and-blue'. It has completely filled the space between lilac and the retaining wall, I don't have to mow that gap anymore and hardly any weeds find room either. If it doesn't naturally spread itself next season, I will buy more!
