Maybe I've been reading their body language or intentions wrong. This morning I found Perry on Lady's side, cowering in a corner against the substrate. I netted him back to his own side, and blocked the bottom gap with another layer of stones (he'd pushed one aside). I wonder if he wants to mate, and she's just not having it.
