ferns!

My favorite, the sensitive fern, springing up and unfurling.

It has spread to one side among the turtleheads-

and on the other came up inside the garden bed. I let it be for now, but will need to dig this rhizome up and place elsewhere in the yard- glad to do so!

The other ferns- below backyard trees-

and in the rear perennial bed- look nice right now... maybe if I make more of an effort to water them regularly this year, they'll stay green through the summer instead of dying out and going dormant
