purple peppers!

Some of my pepper plants made bright violet flowers

which turned into purple peppers!

They're supposedly ornamental only- very hot and spicy- to be used with care says the packet. My kids are intrigued- not only from the bright color, but also the upright growing habit- all the peppers we've grown before hang down.
