Finally some Beets to add to our dinner. I couldn't wait any longer, even though I felt they were kind of small. But they look so much better than last year's beets! I pulled a dozen.

Here they are all cleaned and trimmed

and simmering in my largest pot.

 They just filled it! Tender and delicious. Not at all textured like last year's. I'm very pleased. And fam kept asking for more. This was about a sixth of the plot, so we will eat them a few more times before they're done. Next year I must plant even more!
