for the climbers

I have a new trellis! Two, actually. My husband saw the freebie one I had rigged up and didn't like the look of the wire patching the gap and said "why did you get a craigslist one? we can afford to buy a nice one." So we did. Two that match.

They have a pretty rayed swirl pattern in the middle, which is hard to see in the photos. I am excited now to plant my cardinal climbers next month!

Maybe the clematis will grab onto some of it, too. I trimmed a bit and retied both clematis vines, to tidy them up. The purple one now reaches top deck railings. Lovely. Both have lots of fat buds ready to bloom- these are on the pink clematis, which is still smaller but already near the deck level too.
