young clematis

My younger clematis is growing up and up! I can't wait to see its pink flowers- there's plenty of fat buds.

I put a brick over its base. Not so much for the shade, as to make sure nobody steps on it. (This brick piece is raised on two other fragments). It's in a spot that has frequent foot traffic from under the deck out into the yard.

If I have success with this clematis, I really would like to get a third!
