A few more violet cuttings have sprouted new leaves!
I'm using the method the grower recommended- putting plastic over the little plant with holes poked in for a few days, then opening it for a few more, then finally removing. So it can adjust to being in the normal air, from the close humidity it had under glass.
Week later:

It's nice that so far, each is a different kind- so even if they don't all grow, I have some variety. Fourth up:
Here's the one that emerged first- it's young leaves are cup-shaped.
Hard to catch on camera, but my purple violet in the bedroom looks lovely with the pink of crabapple tree blooming outside.
Wild violet under that same crabapple tree. Pink petals from the crabapple scattered all over my lawn.
