fish news!

The white cloud in QT that was crashed, is up and eating with the others. And- we have baby guppies! No surprise really, but still super cool to see them in there. Can't tell you how thrilled my eight-year-old is. She begged me to raise and keep them- I didn't realize how sad she was that we never succeeded with raising angelfish fry, and that I'd given away the baby cherry barb and the little cory catfish. Not sure how many guppies were born- last night I saw one of the adults definitely try to eat one, but they are quick to dart out of the way and there's lots of hiding places. This morning I counted at least ten fry. Not sure if they're eating anything yet- I dipped tip of a toothpick in tiny amount of first bites powder and offered it- the adults went nuts after it but the fry I can't tell. They're so tiny!
