still on the deck

This looks pretty, but sitting in the chair is uncomfortable now, because the bean leaves are rather stiff and scratchy! if you have bare shoulders
My amaratto basil sprang up again since I cut it back weeks ago-
now has more flowers:
Still never eaten this, but I like the purple hues and piebald leaves, probably going to grow it again next year.
Here's my largest of the 'wild coleus'- just starting to flower. I'm waiting to see what that looks like, will help confirm the identity.
Really really pleased with my bay laurel! It's doubled in size. Eager to cut it back for drying herbs.
My stevia looks great now, too- except it is a bit loose in the pot. Tends to fall over, as if the roots are weak or have died. I'm thinking of repotting it to see what's up. Maybe I overwatered it.
Left to right- rosemary- doing better now but pretty small and naked lower stems where I cleaned off foliage damaged by the insects. Rue- I'm going to plant the two young ones out in the yard once we have some cooler days. Scented geranium has grown so tall. Love it.
New to eat: I cut back all the sculpit. It had microscopic (at least I couldn't see them) bugs causing pale splotches- spider mites?
I trimmed off the better leaves for the kitchen. Minced it up and added to a risotto, as I read that sculpit can add a nice, delicate flavor to risottos. Unfortunately, this was risotto from a box mix, so the garlic and herbs already in it kind of overpowering, I wasn't able to tell which flavor came from the sculpit at all. Might try it again, from scratch.
