hostas and shade

Hostas! My newer 'big boy' ones are doing alright- especially considering I didn't water them extra much this summer. They do have some bug holes, but overall look okay.
The variegated one I moved in spring, up from the back to tree shade near the garden is doing great.
Yellow salvias nearby have lots of bug holes, but otherwise doing well. They really fill in the space.
A few of the sensitive fern I moved to that area are still alive. I hope they do better next year. Going to mulch them heavily.
Lance shaped hosta on the other side of the house, doing grand.
The brownish bronze heucherella looks better than ever. The rabbits or deer are leaving it alone.
I do think it's because I grow the rue.
