dark butterfly

My sister and my youngest found this butterfly on the ground. It was dead but very little damage, they carried it home. She pinned it flat to cardboard with paper strips, I took these photos beforehand.

My photos are not very clear, but from looking at pictures online I think this is the red-spotted butterfly (named from the markings on underside of wings), Limenitis arthemis.
