Moved a few things in the yard. Pulled up the dead sage out of the garden spot, moved the two in from the tree area
Dug up the variegated hosta (one of my favorites) from the far back of the yard- where it got eaten last fall- and moved it to the tree spot. It will be closer to the garden, better able to appreciate.
(Found other hostas poking up. This one looks violet!)
Dug up a dozen small echinacea- even though I thinned out some younger ones last year, it still looks crowded now they're grown. I think they might even flower this year.
I moved them to this area on the side of the front yard, which I've always wanted to turn into a planted bed instead of a lawn patch. It's really making progress now- salvia in the back, lilac in the middle, sedums in front and now echinacea on the side to the property line.
They are not very noticable yet from a distance, but I hope will establish here and maybe they'll bloom better than those in the back- this spot gets more sun.
