first pickings

of green beans! They're doing better than I'd hoped. I'm able to pick new beans every two or three days, but never more than a handful.

There's nine plants; next year I aim to have twenty.

Leaves are nice and large,

but a few have pale mottle areas- a disease?

I did have to stake them up with sticks and cotton twine, keep from falling over.
