the best and worst

of my houseplants, right now. Poinsettia is just gorgeous:

but I'm afraid my Aloe is doing poorly. I thought I was overwatering it so cut back on that to try and let it dry out. It's drooping severely now. But the pot still feels heavy like saturated soil. I'm afraid it might have some root rot. Have bought some cactus soil mix and intent to try repotting it tomorrow, see if there's any root damage and cut that out. Crossing my fingers I can save this one...
