echinacea!

I have not posted about my Echincea in a while, but the plants have grown vigorously, and are now beginning to flower.

I like watching the stages as the flowers develop and unfold. From spiky buds

then the long petals start to form, green at first then white

and finally drooping down they gradually start to take on the purple color.
