chard and beets!

Just a few days ago I was lamenting that none of my seed in the garden has grown yet. And then today finally saw the tiny little plants springing up: clusters of Swiss Chard

and Beets!

Very happy. So is my husband. When I told him the news he said "oh, good, I like the beets!" (Never too thrilled about the gardening, but eager to have it on his plate!)

Still no sign of the carrots or peas...
