I've been examining things in the front beds, which are mostly barren except for my hostas. I did plant Nasturtiums around the two big trees, but they haven't grown much at all, still very small.
I've moved this plant into the "tree beds" too. It's the Bugleweed I puzzled over so long. I pulled it up back when I thought it was just an unwanted weed plant, but it's grown back some. Then I learned that it does fine in dry soil, and spreads easy, so I thought o well, might as well put it where it can do some good and fill in this space!
After clearing all the regular weeds out of the beds, discovered that a few of the lamb's ears a lady gave me survived after all, and are starting to look nice. Even if they're solitary.
