The plant with pink buds has opened its first flower!
It has a wonderful scent. I'm pretty sure now it's a Peony, and there's ants crawling all over the buds; I read they were attracted to peonies as well. So now I just need to learn how to propagate this plant, because I want more of it in my yard. I don't know which is better, to dig up and split the root crown in fall, or to save its seed and try and grow from that (a neighbor pretty close down the street has peonies too, will they cross?)

Oh, I definitely think that's a peony. Isn't it gorgeous???
I was amazed by the gorgeous perfume. Almost as sweet as a rose!
